Van Persie To Stay On The Sidelines For A Month.
Robin Van Persie is out of action for around a month with a thigh injury.
David Moyes confirmed at his pre-match press briefing on Friday that the Dutch striker will miss around four weeks.
The 30-year-old returned to action last Saturday after missing four games with toe and groin problems, and the boss reflected on how he will not be able to pick Van Persie together with Wayne Rooney over the upcoming part of the season.
"It is unfortunate, because if you look at our record with Wayne and Robin in the team it is very good and we have not had them for a period," Moyes told radio reporters.
Van Persie has scored 10 goals for the Reds this season, most recently when he grabbed the winner against former club Arsenal before sitting out the next four games with injury.

Fast & Furious star Paul walker dies in car crash
Walker, 40, was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend - who also died - when it crashed north of Los Angeles.
Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time.
He starred in all but one of the films in the Fast & Furious franchise, the sixth of which opened in May.
Walker also starred in the suspense drama Hours, a movie that is set for release this month.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said the crash happened in the community of Valencia.
The red Porsche sports car crashed into a lamp post in Valencia, north of Los Angeles
The car burst into flames after the crash
It said deputies found a car engulfed in flames when they responded to a report of a collision. Two people found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
Images showed the burned-out wreckage of a red Porsche by the side of the road.
"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide," the statement on the actor's Facebook page said.
"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We... are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.''
Universal Pictures also issued a statement, saying studio staff were "heartbroken" by Walker's death.
"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.
"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
Walker played undercover agent Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movies.
The first film of the franchise was released in 2001 and the seventh is in development.
Walker was one of the leading protagonists, along with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.
Diesel said in a post on Instagram: "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."

Lorde Denies Nicki Minaj,Drake diss
and self-styled "King and Queen of New York" Nicki Minaj, you're going
to be disappointed.
After accusations(which pissed me off ) that she had badmouthed both Minaj and Canadian
rapper Drake, the Royals singer took to Twitter to defend herself. "I
have nothing but love and admiration for both nicki and drake (have
said this x1000)," Lorde tweeted last night.
"Just because their songs aren't my reality (being 17 and from
auckland) doesn't mean i don't admire their musicianship and
careers!," she stated in a follow-up tweet.
In a recent chat with Interview Magazine, the talented songstress was
quoted as saying: "Around the middle of last year I started listening
to a lot of rap, like Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as pop singers
like Lana Del Rey."
"They all sing about such opulence, stuff that just didn't relate to
me -- or anyone that I knew, I began thinking, 'How are we listening
to this? It's completely irrelevant.'"
Nice try @ComplexMag, but i have nothing but love and admiration
for both nicki and drake (have said this x1000)

Eminem Pees on the floor during BBC interveiw
Eminem wouldn't be a Rap god if he wasn't competitive, but it isn't just beats and rhymes with Marshall Mathers; he wants to have the best interviews too.
"I'm super-excited to be here," Em told BBC journalist Zane Lowe in the first part of their interview, which was posted to YouTube on Monday (November 18).
This year Lowe has done high-profile interviews with Jay Z and Kanye West; his interview with Yeezy made major headlines and waywardly caused a beef between 'Ye and comedian Jimmy Kimmel. The tiff between Kanye and Kimmel has since been settled, but Em devised a plan to make his sit down with the U.K. journo even bigger than his fellow rap titans.
"I was trying to figure out how I was going to top the publicity of yours and Kanye's interview, so I decided I was gonna walk in here, and just pee on the floor and leave," Em told Lowe before he starred at him with a deadpan glare, holding his pose for several seconds.
"I'm peeing right now," he said jokingly.
Eminem Had A 'Theme' Early On For 'The Mashall Mathers LP 2'
It was by far the funniest moment of the 13-minute segment. For the duration of the clip Em sat and answered questions about his live performance, conceptualizing his latest The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and his work with iconic producer Rick Rubin.
"I had my reservations because I felt like I'm a super-fan of Rick — so I'd probably be a little nervous," he admitted of his initial feelings working with the Grammy Award-winning producer. "I don't know what the vibe would be just because I would be wanting to impress him. So it was very much like the feeling I got early on with Dre."
Em admits that he wasn't sure if he and Rubin would be able to come up with anything, but Rubin's zen-like style of collaboration quickly put the multiplatinum rapper at ease. "When I met him, the guy's so laid back, that it made it easy," he said.
The collaboration worked. Rubin produced four tracks on MMLP2 and got executive producer credit on the album, which went on to sell 792,000 copies in its first week of release, earning the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Chelsea Signs Samuel Eto'o
The 32-year-old has signed a one-year contract and on finalising the transfer he said: 'I am very happy to be here but also anxious because I want to get playing as soon as possible.
'It wasn't a hard decision. I saw the qualities Chelsea have, and I was very happy with Jose Mourinho before, so when the opportunity came, I was very happy to take it.'
A prolific striker who has scored goals at the highest level throughout his career, Eto'o learned his trade in his native Cameroon before joining the Real Madrid youth academy in 1997. He then embarked on loan spells with Leganes, Espanyol and Real Mallorca.
His time at Mallorca proved a pivotal period in his early career, as a string of impressive displays earned Eto'o a permanent move to the club in 2000. The highlight there came when he scored twice to help his side to a 3-0 win over Recreativo in the 2003 Copa del Rey final.
Having caught the eye with his predatory instincts in front of goal as well as helping Mallorca secure qualification to the Champions League for the first time in their history, some of Europe's biggest clubs unsurprisingly began to show an interest in acquiring his services, and after becoming Mallorca's all-time leading league goalscorer, he completed a move to Barcelona in 2004.
Eto'o made his debut away at Racing Santander on the opening day of the 2004/05 season and scored the second goal in a 2-0 win, before netting four times in the space of two matches shortly after.
His impact was so significant that by the end of October he had already scored eight league goals, a run of form which would continue throughout the campaign as Frank Rijkaard's side clinched the La Liga title.
During that season he also scored the winner for Barcelona as Chelsea were beaten 2-1 in the Camp Nou in the Champions League, although it was the Blues who would progress courtesy of a 4-2 second-leg victory at Stamford Bridge.
Eto'o went from strength to strength during the following season, once again playing a pivotal role as Barcelona retained the domestic title. He also finished the campaign as top scorer in La Liga with 26 goals, narrowly edging out David Villa.Even better was to come in the Champions League, as Barcelona overcame Arsenal 2-1 in Paris to lift the trophy. In what was an eventful final for Eto'o, he was brought down early in the game by Gunners' goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, who was subsequently shown a red card. With his side trailing 1-0, Eto'o then scored the equaliser 14 minutes from time before an extra-time winner by future Blue Juliano Belletti secured the trophy for the Spanish side.
After a brilliant season, Eto'o came third in the FIFA World Player of the Year award voting, with club team-mate Ronaldinho winning the prize and Frank Lampard finishing as runner-up.
His goals-to-games ratio remained impressive for the next two seasons at Barcelona, and he ended his time at the club in spectacular fashion, scoring the opening goal as Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0 in Rome to win another Champions League, completing the treble in the process. His five-year spell at the Camp Nou had yielded a remarkable 152 goals in 232 appearances.
In the summer of 2009, Eto'o swapped Spain for Italy, making the switch from Barcelona to Inter Milan in a deal which saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic move in the opposite direction.
Under the guidance of Mourinho, who was Inter manager at the time, Eto'o enjoyed a fruitful first season at the San Siro, scoring on his Serie A debut from the penalty spot in a 1-1 draw against Bari and going on to enjoy a productive time in front of goal.
He was also on target with the only goal of the game when Inter won 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in the knockout stages of the Champions League, sealing a 3-1 aggregate victory for the Italian side on their way to lifting the trophy courtesy of a 2-0 win against Bayern Munich in the final.
Eto'o completed the full 90 minutes in the showpiece fixture and picked up a winners' medal in the competition for the third time in his career, while also achieving the unique feat of winning the treble in successive seasons with different teams, after Inter had won both the domestic title and Italian Cup.
His second and final season at Inter saw Eto'o flourish. He scored a memorable Champions League hat-trick against Werder Bremen and signed off with a brace as they beat Palermo 3-1 in the Italian Cup final.
Eto'o ended his two-year spell at Inter having scored 53 goals in 102 appearances.
In August 2011, it was announced that Eto'o had signed for Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, and the striker began in style, much like at his two previous clubs, by scoring on his debut in a game against FC Rostov.
As has been the case throughout his career, Eto'o, who was handed the Anzhi captaincy, scored regularly during his time in Russia, with his last goal for the club coming in a 1-1 draw against Kryliya Sovetov in July.
On the international stage, Eto'o has been a regular in the Cameroon side for many years after making his international debut the day before he turned 15. At only 17 years old he was part of the national squad which travelled to France for the 1998 World Cup, where he was the youngest player in the tournament.
Four years later he scored the winning goal as Cameroon secured their only victory of the 2002 World Cup by beating Saudi Arabia.
Eto'o is the all-time leading goalscorer in the Africa Cup of Nations, and as well as tasting success at both the 2000 and 2002 tournaments, he was part of the Cameroon team which won gold at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
He also captained Cameroon at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and scored in matches against Denmark and the Netherlands, although his goals were unable to prevent them from suffering elimination at the group stage.
His most recent goals for the national side came in Cameroon's World Cup qualifying win over Togo back in March, when he netted a brace in a 2-1 win.
He is a four-time winner of the African Player of the Year Award.

Cleverley eyes Anfield
The Reds recorded an impressive 4-1 win at Swansea City on the opening weekend before drawing with Chelsea at Old Trafford on Monday. And with United's tough fixture schedule continuing with big games against Liverpool and Manchester City, Cleverley is keen to maintain momentum at Anfield.
“It is not a bad start, everyone knows that we haven’t got the easiest first five games but the focus is now on Sunday,” he told MUTV. “Our biggest game is always the next one and we will be looking to go to Anfield and get three points."
When quizzed on United’s tough opening, Tom expanded: “They are all big games; these are the types of games that you want to be playing. This is the Premier League and it is never easy.”
Last week, Cleverley took part in United’s first Google+ hangout, answering questions posed by fans around the world. But one query proved just too hard to answer: which game gets your blood boiling most, Liverpool or Manchester City away?
"The Liverpool game, with the history between the two clubs and what it means to the fans, makes it really important. Even playing in the Academy, the Liverpool game was always the one you looked out for. I've not played for United at Anfield yet so that's something I'd like to experience. It’s too hard to answer, it’s a good question.”

Moyes denies Jose rift
David Moyes last night dismissed talk of a feud with Jose Mourinho. The second coming of Chelsea boss Mourinho has seen mind games intensify, with the Special One declaring that Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was his one and only summer transfer target. And he also suggested new Red Devils boss Moyes had been fortunate to inherit a set-up already geared for success. This appeared to trigger a psychological battle between the rivals which Scot Moyes seemed to endorse when he said: “Bring it on.” But now he insists there is no conflict beyond what normally exists between top-level managers. He said: “Jose is a tremendous manager. He has done really well in the Premier League. When he lost his job at Chelsea last time I wrote him a letter. So, for people to say there is any feud is wrong. Of course, you are going to find two really competitive managers. When our teams play we will both be highly committed to make sure our clubs win. But I admire him for how well he has done as a manager.”

Jay-Z's Track Co-Produced by a 16-Year-Old Girl
Oshunrinde a.k.a WondaGurl began learning how to produce music when she was 9. After watching a video of Jay-Z and Timbaland working in a studio, she downloaded music software and taught herself how to use it from watching YouTube videos. "I wanted to do the exact same thing that [Jay-Z] did," Oshunrinde said in a recent interview.
When she was 15, she won Toronto's Battle of the Beatmakers and signed an exclusive management deal with Black Box. After that, she began working with local and U.S. producers including Travis Scott, one of Jay-Z's collaborators.
Scott was in a studio with Jay-Z when Oshunrinde sent him her beat, which she said "has a lot of bass and a lot of bounce." A few days later, Scott texted Oshunrinde, saying, "I'm gonna change your life." When Scott told her that her beat would be used in Jay-Z's album, she thought he was joking.
"Usually that doesn't really happen to 16-year-olds," Oshunrinde said. "I didn't believe it at all, because it's pretty crazy news."
Oshunrinde has yet to meet Jay-Z, but she's heard that the rapper is interested in meeting her soon.
Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" was released on Thursday, July 4, for 1 million Samsung Galaxy users. The album will be available for the rest of the world on Tuesday, July 9.
Claudio Pizarro agrees new one-year deal with Bayern Munich
“I'm 34, so nothing better could happen to me than to sign a contract with Bayern Munich," said the man who is the leading non-German goalscorer in Bundesliga history and is up to 112 goals in 281 appearances for FCB. The new campaign will be his eighth with Munich, “and I'm convinced we'll have a good year together," he said.
Pizarro has already exchanged views with new coach Pep Guardiola. “We've had a talk. He was delighted he could speak Spanish with me," quipped the Peruvian, who has no fixed plans once his contract ends next summer: “I can't say what might happen a year from now. But I'm feeling good, and I want to play football for as long as possible."
Dwight Howard moving to Houston?
No word on whether he will sign outright with Houston or work out some sort of sign-and-trade with the Lakers (which would net him more money).
D12 cannot officially sign any deal until July 10.
Howard spent one disastrous, injury-plagued year with the Lakers after they acquired him in a trade from the Orlando Magic.
The Black Mamba will not take this lightly.
****IT IS WORTH NOTING****
While several well-respected writers have reported the move, Dwight's agent says he has not made a decision ... and Howard is known to change is mind. So stay tuned ...

Carlo Ancelotti moves to Real madrid
The Italian will be presented to the media in the Bernabéu's Royal Box on Wednesday having been replaced at Parc des Princes by the former France World Cup winner Laurent Blanc. Ancelotti's task will be to convince Cristiano Ronaldo to remain with Madrid and even, potentially, commit to a long-term deal, though the manager's desire to revitalise the squad will have implications for Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Madrid are confident of deflecting City's interest in the Málaga playmaker, Isco, who has already admitted that a move to Madrid would "excite".
The Napoli forward Edinson Cavani is also wanted by the Spanish club and Madrid appear his likeliest destination if he departs Italy, despite City and, more recently, Chelsea having expressed interest in bringing him to the Premier League. The Europa League winners are understood to have discussed using players in part-exchange for a player who scored 29 goals last season and whose release clause is set at €63m (£52.5m), a fee Madrid would apparently be willing to meet.
The Uruguay striker intends to speak with the Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, next month on his return from the Confederations Cup before determining where his future lies. "Real is one of the best clubs in the world but there is no deal yet," Cavani told the Spanish newspaper, Marca. "When we're kids, we dream about playing at a team like Madrid or Barça but, right now, I'm at Napoli and I'm very proud to be there. If I leave one day, I'll be ready to move to a bigger club. We'll see." The forward's parents have each been quoted over recent weeks suggesting a move to Spain was likely, though Cavani stressed that he had asked his family "thousands of times to please not talk any more because it harms me".
Tottenham, too, may yet be frustrated by Ancelotti's appointment after it emerged Madrid could also be willing to offer the Brazilian club Corinthians €20m (£16.7m) for the midfielder Paulinho in a straight cash payment. The 24-year-old's economic rights are owned by a third party, an issue that has dissuaded other suitors from pursuing the player, but Spurs believed they were close to securing his services with any deal to be concluded after the tournament in Brazil. It remains to be seen whether Madrid will now trump them at the last.
Ancelotti's arrival at the Bernabéu should have a more positive effect on Arsenal whose long-standing target, the Argentina forward Gonzalo Higuaín, will now meet the Italian and is expected to be given the green light to depart the club. Arsenal and Juventus, who have each agreed personal terms in principle with the striker, will then bid formally for him. Arsenal are confident they will secure the 25-year-old on a four-year contract for what would be a club record fee likely to total £22m.
Ancelotti, 54, will cost Madrid around £3.3m in compensation and is expected to be joined by his English assistant from Chelsea and PSG, Paul Clement, with Zinedine Zidane and the former Chelsea striker Hernan Crespo to be handed roles in his backroom staff.
The Italian will be replaced at PSG by Blanc, who has signed a two-year contract – a one-year arrangement with an option for a further 12 months – with the French champions, whose Qatari owners had attempted to lure a number of candidates, from José Mourinho to Fabio Capello, and André Villas-Boas to Frank Rijkaard, before finally opting for the former France defender.
The 47-year-old has been out of a job since leaving his role with the French national team after Euro 2012 and will start work on Monday, when his players return for pre-season training.
"The mission Paris St Germain's management has assigned Laurent Blanc is to continue the work initiated last year and lead the team towards the heights of European competition," read a statement issued by the PSG hierarchy. They, too, boast significant clout in the transfer market having also had designs on Cavani, and could test Chelsea's resolve to keep the defender David Luiz at Stamford Bridge.
