Manchester United are set name their former player Phil Neville as first-team coach later on Thursday.
The 36-year-old will be reunited with ex-Everton boss David Moyes and his backroom staff of Steve Round, Jimmy Lumsden and Chris Woods.
Defender or midfielder Neville came through the ranks at Old Trafford as a player, making his debut in 1995, before moving to GoodisonPark in 2005.

He retired from playingin June after his contract came to an end at Everton.
Neville told BBC Sport last monththat he was considering a career in coaching and recentlyworked with the England Under-21 team in Israel. He is currently in the process of finishing his Uefa A licence.
The former England player replaces Rene Meulensteen, who is now working with Guus Hiddink at Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Assistant boss Mike Phelan and goalkeeping coach Eric Steele have also left Old Trafford since Sir Alex Ferguson retired at end of last season.
Neville made his Premier League debut for United in 1995 in a 3-0 win over Manchester City.
He won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups and one Champions League crown at Old Trafford before joining Everton for a fee of £3.5m, captaining the Toffees under Moyes.
The utility player also went on to win 59 caps for England during his career.
