Moyes denies Jose rift

Moyes: There’s no Jose feud
David Moyes last night dismissed talk of a feud with Jose Mourinho. The second coming of Chelsea boss Mourinho has seen mind games intensify, with the Special One declaring that Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney was his one and only summer transfer target. And he also suggested new Red Devils boss Moyes had been fortunate to inherit a set-up already geared for success. This appeared to trigger a psychological battle between the rivals which Scot Moyes seemed to endorse when he said: “Bring it on.” But now he insists there is no conflict beyond what normally exists between top-level managers. He said: “Jose is a tremendous manager. He has done really well in the Premier League. When he lost his job at Chelsea last time I wrote him a letter. So, for people to say there is any feud is wrong. Of course, you are going to find two really competitive managers. When our teams play we will both be highly committed to make sure our clubs win. But I admire him for how well he has done as a manager.”
In The MirrorWes Brown has warned his former United team-mates they face injury on the Hong Kong Stadium’s “killer” pitch ahead of this evening’s friendly with Kitchee FC. “It’s a bad pitch,” said Brown. “If it keeps raining it just gets worse and it was like playing on a beach. A little slip here and there, people are doing all sorts. It’s not the best, if you do slip then anything can happen.”
Elsewhere, many of today’s papers feature comments made by David Moyesregarding the club’s transfer activity, outlining his own confidence that additions with be made to the squad.

Man Utd draws match :Cerezo Osaka 2 United 2

Shinji Kagawa scored and missed a penalty against his former club as Manchester United drew with Cerezo Osaka to share the Yanmar Premium Cup.
Kenyu Sugimoto took advantage of a defensive mistake to put the home side ahead but, moments after his second-half spot-kick was saved, Kagawa slotted home from close range to equalise for United.
Takumi Minamino’s superb long-range drive put Cerezo back ahead in front of 45,000 fans at the Nagai Stadium, but Wilfried Zaha scored his first goal for United at the death to ensure the Reds were not beaten for the second time in four days on tour in Japan.
This was another demanding workout for David Moyes’ men in energy-sapping heat and, despite failing to beat a side riding high in the J-League, the players will have taken big strides in their bid for full fitness ahead of the new season.
Kagawa was given a rapturous reception on his return to his hometown club, where banners were displayed in his name and fans got excited every time he was on the ball.
United, playing in the new away kit for the first time, could have taken the lead inside the first minute as Robin van Persie found himself through on goal, but his right-foot shot hit goalkeeper Kim Jin-Hyeon.
On a pristine pitch, Cerezo’s first chance came in the ninth minute but Anders Lindegaard did well to cling onto a low Jumpei Kusukami strike.
Soon after, van Persie again found himself with only the keeper to beat after being played in by Kagawa, but Kim stood tall to paw the Dutchman’s attempted chip to safety.

Lamar Odom Attacks Paparazzi Trashes Camera and a Car

Lamar Odom went absolutely nuts on two paparazzi in Hollywood this afternoon, smashing a car, a camera ... and then fleeing the scene -- apparently with some of the destroyed camera gear. The violent incident was captured on video ... where Mr. Khloe Kardashian was seen going into the back of a car belonging to one of the paps, and chuckingall of the guy's equipment into the middle of a busy street. He then walked across the street and smashed another photog's car with a metal bar, then picked up all the gear from thestreet and put it in his trunk. Curiously, right after raging against the paps, Lamar also had arun-in with a fan -- and couldn't have been nicer. Watch the video ... it's kinda bizarre. It'sunclear why Lamar was so angry ... when the video starts he's already digging through the pap's car. So far, no one's filed a police report. We haven't heard back from Lamar's reps. Rooney Not Leaving, Manchester United Manager Says

Manchester United’s new manager, David Moyes, said Wayne Rooney was not going anywhere. Rooney, 27, who had grown frustrated at being dropped and substituted in key matches as Robin van Persie emerged as United’s leading striker, told Alex Ferguson he wanted a transfer before Ferguson’s surprise retirement as manager in May.
But with two years remaining on Rooney’s contract, United does not appear willing to let a leading player join a rival club.
“Wayne is not for sale,” Moyes said at his first news conference since replacing Ferguson.
When asked if Rooney had told him categorically that he no longer wanted to leave, Moyes responded evasively: “I can tell you categorically Wayne Rooney is training fantastically well in the last two days. That’s all I can categorically tell you.”

Rooney has scored 197 goals for United, after starting his career at Everton.

Carvajal signs his contract with Real Madrid

Carvajal is now official a Real Madrid player. The right back, who grew up in the club’s youth teams, signed the contract that will keep him with the club for the next six seasons. President Florentino Perez and a number of members from the Board of Directors accompanied with the player to once again welcome him home.

Having passed the preliminary medical tests satisfactorily, Carvajal signed his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, binding him to Real Madrid for the next six seasons. He was met by a large delegation of the Real Madrid Executive Board, led by Florentino Perez, who welcomed him and presented him with a miniature replica of the stadium, a watch, the pen with which he signed the contract and a Real Madrid shirt, which included his name, the number 15 on the back and the date of his presentation to the fans below the team crest.

Van Ginkel Signs Chelsea Contract

Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce Marco van Ginkel today (Friday) completed his transfer from Vitesse Arnhem.
The Dutch international midfielder signed a five-year contract, and said: 'I'm very happy to be here at such a nice club with great players. I am really happy, the stadium is good and the training ground is fantastic.
'I know about all the players and will meet them on Monday. I expect a lot, I've watched matches and it's really nice to be here.'
Chelsea will be the second professional club of Van Ginkel's career, the 20-year-old having come through the youth system at Vitesse Arnhem before making his debut in the Dutch top flight near the end of the 2009/10 season, aged 17.
He played his first full international for the Netherlands in November and represented his country at the European Under-21 Championships in Israel last month.
He was named Dutch Talent of the Year for last season, awarded to the best young player, joining a list which includes former Chelsea players Arjen Robben, Salomon Kalou and Boudewijn Zenden.
Van Ginkel
Van Ginkel made one start and three substitute appearances for Vitesse in the 2009/10 season, with six starts and a further 11 appearances from the bench in 2010/11. His first game that season was away at Ajax where he scored his first senior goal, adding four more before the end of the campaign.
By 2011/12 the young player was a regular in the side, starting in 36 of his 38 games and finding the net six times, nearly doubling that total to 11 goals last season, scored from 41 appearances.
Vitesse finished in fourth position in the Dutch league behind the traditional big three of Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord, therefore qualifying for the Europa League.
Van Ginkel, who is 6ft 1in tall (1.86m) has built a reputation for good energy, ball control and passing in central midfield, both as an attacking force or in a more defensive role such as he was given in the Under-21 Euros this summer. The Netherlands went out at the semi-final stage, defeated 1-0 by Italy.
In total, Van Ginkel has played 14 Under-21 internationals, scoring three goals, having also represented his country at Under-19 level.
His full international cap was earned when he came on after 59 minutes of a 0-0 draw against Germany in a friendly .

Jay-Z's Track Co-Produced by a 16-Year-Old Girl

Ebony Oshunrinde, a 16-year-old Canadian-Nigerian girl, has been listed in the credits for Jay-Z's new album, "Magna Carta Holy Grail". Oshunrinde, who has just finished grade 11 in Brampton, southern Ontario, was credited for a track called "Crown".

Oshunrinde a.k.a WondaGurl began learning how to produce music when she was 9. After watching a video of Jay-Z and Timbaland working in a studio, she downloaded music software and taught herself how to use it from watching YouTube videos. "I wanted to do the exact same thing that [Jay-Z] did," Oshunrinde said in a recent interview.

When she was 15, she won Toronto's Battle of the Beatmakers and signed an exclusive management deal with Black Box. After that, she began working with local and U.S. producers including Travis Scott, one of Jay-Z's collaborators.

Scott was in a studio with Jay-Z when Oshunrinde sent him her beat, which she said "has a lot of bass and a lot of bounce." A few days later, Scott texted Oshunrinde, saying, "I'm gonna change your life." When Scott told her that her beat would be used in Jay-Z's album, she thought he was joking.

"Usually that doesn't really happen to 16-year-olds," Oshunrinde said. "I didn't believe it at all, because it's pretty crazy news."

Oshunrinde has yet to meet Jay-Z, but she's heard that the rapper is interested in meeting her soon.

Jay-Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" was released on Thursday, July 4, for 1 million Samsung Galaxy users. The album will be available for the rest of the world on Tuesday, July 9.

Claudio Pizarro agrees new one-year deal with Bayern Munich

Claudio Pizarro resumed training after his summer vacation yesterday, and today tied up a new deal to stay with Bayern for another season. Prior to the squad's departure for the Trentino training camp, the Peru international put his name to a one-year contract with the treble winners. The club and the player had agreed terms be few weeks ago, with the striker officially signing the contract on Thursday morning.

“I'm 34, so nothing better could happen to me than to sign a contract with Bayern Munich," said the man who is the leading non-German goalscorer in Bundesliga history and is up to 112 goals in 281 appearances for FCB. The new campaign will be his eighth with Munich, “and I'm convinced we'll have a good year together," he said.

Pizarro has already exchanged views with new coach Pep Guardiola. “We've had a talk. He was delighted he could speak Spanish with me," quipped the Peruvian, who has no fixed plans once his contract ends next summer: “I can't say what might happen a year from now. But I'm feeling good, and I want to play football for as long as possible."

Dwight Howard moving to Houston?

Dwight Howard has decided to make the entire city of Los Angeles hate him (except for the ever-growing number of Clippers fans) by spurning the Lakers and signing with the Houston Rockets.

No word on whether he will sign outright with Houston or work out some sort of sign-and-trade with the Lakers (which would net him more money).

D12 cannot officially sign any deal until July 10.

Howard spent one disastrous, injury-plagued year with the Lakers after they acquired him in a trade from the Orlando Magic.

The Black Mamba will not take this lightly.

****IT IS WORTH NOTING****

While several well-respected writers have reported the move, Dwight's agent says he has not made a decision ... and Howard is known to change is mind. So stay tuned ...
